Musa Barrow undoubtedly produced one of, if not the best performances by a Gambian in top flight league like in Italian Seria A, against a powerhouse in AS Roma.

The Atalanta Bergamo loaned star created the opener after spinning a right foot out-step for his forward partner Riccardo Orsolini to tap home inside the six yard.

After Roma pulled back level from an own goal by defender Denswil, Barrow restored the lead for the visitors. Picking the ball from the left and did his trade mark cut to his right and let flying a deflected ball drop into the far top corner.

Minutes into the second half the 21 year old add more misery to the Giallorossi; picking the ball just inside the Roma half, sped forward with it and faced one defender and another opponent rushing from the right to close him down, but the unplayable Musa jinxed past the two Roma defenders before coolly slotting into the right bottom corner, to make it 3-1 to his side. Henrikh Mkhitaryan later pulled one back to make it 3-2 at full time.

Bologna FC lavish praises to Musa voting him the outright Man of The Match.

Former Hawks FC trainee’s impressive performance has earned him three goals in three games scoring two in his first start for Bologna after joining them on a 6 months loan from another Seria A side Atalanta.

Musa Barrow’s stellar night ended with an injury after a nasty challenge from Roma defender Peres. In another good night for Gambia in Seria A, Musa Barrow was replaced by his compatriot in teenager Musa Juwara, who played his part in seeing through a victory made in Gambia; chasing down Roma attacks and doing important defensive clearances and running forward when necessary.
