Real De Banjul Shares The Spoils With Brikama United
Real De Banjul played an entertaining 2-2 draw against Brikama United at the Boxbar mini stadium in week three of the Gambia Football Federation League One encounter in Brikama.
Real de Banjul opened the scoreline through Ebrima Jatta in the 23 minutes, who out-muscled the Brikama United’s Momodou Manneh. Three minutes later Abdoulie Kah added a second for Real after he rocketed a volley into the net from Alagie Jawara’s clever cross.
Malick Sambou pulled a goal for Brikama United with a low drive. Barely five minutes into stoppage time Brikama United’s hard work yield dividend, when Dimingo Manneh tapped the ball, that hit the side bar before rolling in the net to salvage a point for the Champions, Brikama United.
Speaking to Plus.gm after the game, Brikama United’s Coach Modou Lamin Nyassi, said his side reacted very slow in the commencement of the game, but reacted later.
“We don’t deserve to lose this game, but I will commend my boys for a well deserved fight back into the game”, Coach Nyassi said.
Ebou Jarra, Head Coach of Real De Banjul said It was a team effort and everyone did well in the first half, and the goal that was conceded in the first half wasn’t that good.
Coach Jarra went on to say that he would love to collect maximum points in every game that his side plays, but said collecting a point against a champion in his home ground, isn’t a bad result.
